Nature Explorers Silly Scavenger Hunt on June 2

Our Nature Explorers have participated in lots of fun events this year. Our June program was a Pre-School Silly Scavenger Hunt. Kids looked for clues hidden along the Rec Center trails. There were clues from nature, and silly things that did not belong on a nature walk. All the kids received a prize and had a great time exploring. Nature Explorers: Pre-School Program on May 19

We had a great time today at our pre-school Nature Explorers program. It was a beautiful day for a nature walk and to learn about robins. The American Robin is Connecticut's state bird and is commonly found in our own backyards. The kids collected twigs and grass on our walk to build their own robin's nest. They even made blue eggs for their nests. We finished the program by eating what a robin eats, worms (gummy worms of course!). For more images from this program click here.
